Ok Im sure this has been posted somewhere before but I'm on my phone and the search function isn't working for me. Anyway I received some cigars as a gift and a few had mold on them. Not bad but still mold. Anyway I've heard it's ok to smoke cigars that had mold on them and just wipe them off...

:banghead: So, i recently switched over to kitty litter.. and i guess the little tray i had it in was a little too high. It was, in theory, not humidifying the bottom tray of my 3 drawer humi and spreading upwards from there, but in fact only going directly up to my little stack of cubans. The...

Last night I went to grab a smoke from my Humidor full of Fuentes and I pulled out a Chateau Fuente Maduro Rothschild. When I sat down to light it up, as I removed the cedar sleeve, I saw the spots! There were not many, just a few under where the sleeve was, so I wiped it off with a paper...

A few of you either have or will be receiving an '09 Camacho Liberty from me. I discovered today, thanks to MrMayorga, that have mold on them. I went through the remainder of that box and found mold on every stick. I wiped them all off and now have them drying. I also went through the other box...

My order of a box of Partegas Mille Fleurs arrived yesterday. After opening, mold was apparent on at least 3 of the top layer of sticks. Check out the fuzziness on the cigar that is diagonal to the others. Very disappointed. I emailed my vendor (whom I have dealt with for a long time, and here...

I can still taste it. Blech.:puke: From what i saw of the stick, it had some bluish colors at the foot. Once I cut it, and took a draw, I should have quit then and there. But no. I was thinking, hmmm....maybe it'll get better once I start smoking it. With this cigar, which was a H. Uppman...

I recently came into owning a few cigars- some of them very valuable, some of them very hard to get in this country. A lot of them have tiny blue-green stains on the wrapper and filler leaves. These stains are at most a few millimeters in diameter. Is this mold? Will I get sick smoking these...

Ok I've had my Hydra for about three months...Today I noticed it was feeling a bit light so I opened it up with the intention of adding some distilled water...I was greeted with copious amounts of mold in the hydra's element...Pissed I gouged out all the foam, cleaned it with a mild bleach...

Hi, I opened a couple boxes of Sam Gawith "Sam's Flake" today ... I noticed that there seemed to be small spots of a grayish/silverish streaks on the some parts of the surface of the flakes. Both boxes had it ... but then again, I bought them both at the same time. I like this tobacco ... and...

Was near a local B&M this afternoon on an unrelated errand and had some time to check it out. I had only been there once before. During my first visit a couple months ago I had noticed a box of RP Edge Light with one cigar left in it. I picked it up to check it out, considering buying it, but...

I was recently given a couple Sharks by my Secret Santa. With all the posts about mold, I've been checking them for mold weekly. One of them started sprouting white stuff this week  It's not completely coated so I'm going to freeze it for a couple days and smoke it immediately after it...

I've been using beads in my humis for well over a year and found mold in the bottom of my humi underneath the spot I set the bag of wet beads (I posted this problem earlier today). I have the beads in old panty hose little bags. I spray the bags with distilled water until I see the beads...

First off, thanks for the response to the thread (http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showpost.php?p=1326926&postcount=1 )yesterday. I talked to the owner today. He didn't get to make it by the store today. I also explained about my moldy stogie. Although he did fully hear me out. He was very...

Purchased a Henry Clay Grande Maduro from the local B&M a few days ago. It came in a aluminum tube wrapped in cedar. This particular B&M keeps the humidity up at around 75% and 70 degrees. I always open and inspect my cigars before storing them, and here is what I found: As you...

Today, while servicing my Cigar Oasis II, I noticed white mold spots on the foam inside the unit. The RH in the humi never exceeded 66%, and all of the cigars look great. Anyone else ever had the foam start to mold? Is the foam even required for the device to work properly?
