Looks nice, draws well, burns well. Smooth, with a good medium-full body that lasts down to the nub. Flavors of earth, coffee nuts.

I have heard from a few people that mayorga makes a great coffee, but have not yet had a chance to try any. Anyone have experience with this brand? And if so, besides French Roast, what's their boldest bean? FLAVOR FLAVOR FLAVOR!!!
Arrrrr! His spies apparently told him my ship was vulnerable as I'm still reeling from the Smelvis bomb I described to yur whole crew yesterday.
So what does Daniel do ya ask? I'll tell ya! He tried to finish me off with a murderous torpedo!
Now this is a stick created after me own heart__...
Woody taste that gave up some hints of burnt caramel towards the second third. Very spicy and gave a very good peppery finish-- a finish that I usu...

I just finished smoking a really good inexpensive cigar, the Mayorga Gordito Maduro, that was recommended to me by my local tobacconist. If you want to see how well an inexpensive cigar can be made then give this cigar a puff.
I hope everyone's day is going well,

Originally I was going to post this in a thread called "Early morning smoke...what does it for you?"
As I started to write it out and have fun with the words I decided..what the heck I might as well go for it and make it my first review. I realize it may be a little over the top for a $3 cigar...
I picked these up for just around $2.oo each.
Upon, selecting it out of the humi, this box-pe since I ressed beauty was firm and upon lightly pinching it it sprang back into shape, was very firm but springy at the same time. The wrapper while very dark had just a smattering of very thin veins...
How does Mayorga rate compared to all other, I guess one could call them Micro-Roasters ?? I generally like African and Nicaraguan coffee and will get Blue Mountain or Kona when I can find it. Also are there and places online that are recommended for good coffee ? Thanks in advance.
Killing time at lunch and decided to try the $3 stick. I occasionally buy cheaper sticks simply trying something different. Well, different was a relative term in regards to this cigar.
In "Tank" terms, I rate this cigar 1 "turret" on a scale of 1 to 5.
Draw - very tight, like I needed a...
This Mayorga Robusto Maduro has been resting in my coolidor for a little over a week after freezer quarantine. My first cbid order had two sticks with critter holes so everything else was frozen for three days, thawed while still bagged for one day and then into the coolidor. I could not wait...
So tonight I pulled a Mayorga Lonsdale out of my humi...it had been in there about a month and I've been curious to try them.
I'm not sure if it was just my cigar or what, but I had a really tough time with it's draw. It was so tight that I finally pulled out a nail and pushed it through to...
Anyone try one of these? I've had a few when smoking with some new aficionados. My experience has been that they aren't as "sweet" as they first were. I do like the Columbian Supreme of 'em though. 8)
Their roasting and packaging plant is around the corner from work. I started buying coffees from them just about the time Martin Mayorga sold his cigar biz and started with coffee. Matt who is the Roastmaster/taster was in a story in one of the cigar mags,I'll see if I can find it if anyones...
PREFACE:
I am on a maduro mission, my primary purpose in life to aquire and try every "M" I can get my hands on. That said, budget being a factor, and a good T25 review being an influence, I scored a couple of fivers on C-bid and let them rest for about a month. I've smoked just three...
