Hello. So my grandad gave me his old lighter and asked me if i can find a way to fix it. The problem with it is that when you fill it up with butane the lighter just spits it all out at the needle. Does anyone know how can this be fixed?

I recently bought a used ST Dupont Gatsby and am having some trouble. I replaced the fuel and flint but sometimes the lighter will light on the first strike, other times it may take 10-15 strikes. Does anyone with experience have any suggestions as to what might be the root of this problem?

If performance is the key issue, would you guys choose a Xikar Trezo or S.T. Dupont Maxijet? Or perhaps a third option? Thanks for sharing!
