i've been smoking cigars for 2 years but only began to really get in to it very recently. I just got myself a 25ct humidor, and am having trouble bringing the humidity up (I placed the cigars in after seasoning, and they dried up after about a week). I seasoned it a second time and...
Gel Humidifier, Cigar Humidor Dry Crystals | eBay
I found this on ebay today and I'm thinking about purchasing but the price is low. Anyone bought something like this in the past? Thoughts? Opinions?
Well, today was the first time I've experimented with ExquisiCat. I'm still experimenting with this little gem, so I would appreciate a feedback. Here's what I've done so far:
Fist, get some ExquisiCat from PetSmart. I've had these IKEA tupperware for a while, so I decided to use this for...
Has any one ever add (propylene glycol and distilled water in a mix of approximately 50/50) to Kitty litter crystals. If so is it a bad thing to do? My buddy did this and it is working for now. Is it better than just "distilled water"?
Is there a difference between the Heartfelt beads and say Xikar crystals?
I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not. Last time I needed to humidify some sticks a "Credo" was the hot setup.
I have been using a couple of the little CI 2oz crystal humidification jars in my overflow humi. Earlier tonight when I was checking my beads in the main humi and the jars I noticed a small bit of brown discoloration in some of the clear humi crystals. I am super paranoid, so worried it was mold...
I recently ordered 70% RH beads in a plastic style container from a cigar accessory dealer that is very reputable in these forums. I will not name them because I do not want to hurt their business. I put the beads in my small 30 count humidor and did not open it for 2 days because I wanted to...
I use this Xikar Humidification Crystals in my Humidor and they work really well. They are ment to keep humidity at 70%rh but I find they keep them at about 65-69% which is even better. All you do to prepare them is take of the white lid and put them in your humidor. When the...
First off let me say, I know next to nothing about any of this stuff. I got a small humidor, picked up a cutter and lighter the guy at the shop showed me, and these little clear tubes with jelly crystal things in them. Believe they're called drymistat. They look like this:
A few weeks back I bought one of these jars of humidification gel crystals, and I've been reading conflicting advice about whether to recharge it with distilled water or propylene glycol solution.
Should I use one or the other exclusively? Should I alternate? What do you say?
It seems like most everyone here uses beads for their humi's. Does anybody have some opinions on these?--> www.drymistat.com
They seem to work pretty well for me. I just toss a few in each one of my
50ct tupperdors and they stay pretty close to 70%. Is this dry enough to prevent mold? I always...
I ordered two of these little packs of humidification crystals http://www.cigarsinternational.com/prodDisp.asp?item=M-HMC04&cat=10&page=2 from cigars international. I just got them today and they aren't in a dry crystal form like the picture shows. They are like small little jello cubes (but...
