So, earlier today I posted a poll to see what I should smoke tonight and you guys voted on an '05 ERDM Choix Supreme. I haven't done a review in quite some time and figured this would be a good opportunity to get back into it.

This was very stereotypical of a Cuban cigar- good and bad. Definitely could taste that Cuban twand but it was just too darn tight to draw. It ne...

This without a doubt has been the best smoke I've ever had in my young cigar smoking career! Arnie, a great BOTL, gifted me this back in September so it's only rested a little over 3 months. I can't imagine how great it would be after resting for a year! A great cedar taste, floral/fruity...
Cigar: El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme
Lighter: Ronson Jet-Lite
Beverage: A&W Root Beer
Pre-cut: Nice looking light brown wrapper with one semi-large vein. Triple cap is expertly applied. Pre-light draw offers tastes of cedar with a hint of sweet spice.
tried a 5 pack of these and found them to be fairly mild. they did have a little kick towards the end but not my cup of tea. well rolled and slow b...

These are starting to get a little age on them. They are changing now from cream flavored with a little honey to more rich tobacco flavors. The Cuban twang, I guess you'd say. One of my all-time favs. Mild yet flavorful. I just love these cigars. Time to get another box to lay down to rest.
El Rey del Mundo
Length: 5 in.
Ring Gauge: 48
Square body in a flat box.
After rummaging around the humidor I came across a well known favorite that caught my eye. I got this cigar a few years back, so I'd say it has at least 3 - 5 years of age on it. This is a...
Bottom line up front: These have really come a long ways from their sick period. A dash of cocoa, light coffee, and malty; paired extremely well with my Blue Moon Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale. Perhaps the beer was the reason why I felt the Choix to be a very autumny smoke.
Good volumes of smoke...
Do I purchase another vitola, let them age, and smoke the fairly young Choix??? Or do I let the Choix age and buy something to smoke now???
I just want the cigars I age to be worth it and not a let down.
Thanks for the help.
A BOTL was kind enough to give me the opportunity to try some of these from 04/05. Will let most rest, but had to try one today. I am not well versed in the ISOM ways, but have one from time to time. I had a PSD4 a few weeks ago, but really hadn't had a mind blowing experience w/ any ISOM...
I have had a weird palate lately (Too many NC's). However the Choix Supreme hit it nicely. A good buddy of mine had aged some for a few months, and gifted me two. It had been a while since I smoked a "Real" cigar, I just had to have one at a recent poker night.
Pre-Light aroma was that...
You heard it hear first;
The '07 ERDM Choix Supreme is the BRC of '06.
Okay okay, I maybe ahead of myself but I had two over the weekend (Mar 07)and they were VERY good. Perfect construction, burn, and draw. Flavors and aromas were a more mild, creamier, sweeter version of the highly touted...
I got one as a bonus recently, and as I've not liked these in the past, I figured I'd give it one last chance to impress. It started off slow and mild, great volume of smoke, and great aroma. Light flaky ash. Second third had a slight increase in body and flavors with an introduction of...
Disclaimer: I am a complete noob, but I am trying to get better with reviews. Any comments on what I should think about as I do my next review, I would greatly appreciate it! No pics this time, but I will make sure to next time.
This afternoon, after my PC crashed, I decided to take it easy...
This was given to me several months ago by a friend. I don't know the box date or anything else about it but, after smoking it, I know it was very good.
The pre-lite draw was easy; it was well constructed and solid. I had it resting at about 65% RH in a tabletop humi. I finally smoked it...
Did some poking around and cant find much info/reviews/impressions on the ERDM GC's.
Basically, Im a big fan of the CS and wanted feedback on the GC. If I like one, will I like the other? Similar profile?
