Good morning all, and happy Friday!:woohoo: I had some annoying burn issues with many of the 60+ size sticks I was obsessed with for the past 6 months. I'm now learning that smaller ring sizes (and vitolas other than "gigante" or "gordo") are my friend! State the case for smoking your...

I know this is a question that probably cant be definitively answered on the internet, but. I always seem to have burn issues, no matter the stick. I ALWAYS have canoeing to some degree or another and usually cant get the cigar to correct no matter what I try(turning, torching, a little spit...

So hear I sit in the garage smoking an MBIII with about 10 months on it and an amazing thing happened. I can actually hear the thing burning. Now I've heard other people talk about it, but never has it happened to me. It just adds a little bit more to the experience, it's almost like shaving...

Left this sitting in my humidor at 66% rH for about a month. It had a good draw, not too hard, not too loose. The flavor's consisted of spice with ... Read the full review here: Alec Bradley Tempus Series quadrum Cigar Review - Great Flavor, but had burn issues

As with most Illusione's, they have a very different scent to them. The wrapper was oily, construction was solid, not too firm and not too soft. ... Read the full review here: Illusione 88 Cigar Review - Great flavor, uneven burn

Im not sure what's been going on, but lately it seems that my cigar goes out half way through. I have a winedoar that I keep all my smokes in and it seats at 63-67% and 66 degree. I have smoked anything from cc to nc and all different brands and the last 8 I have had have all died on me half way...

This was the result of in depth conversation and smoking while not paying it too much attention. The Padron No35 is always an excellent smoke and apparently it holds up...very well. This was smoked upright in a nice chair without looking towards the sky the whole time ;)

I never used to understand when you guys on the 'gar side here would complain about burn issues... I just figured, Eh, it tastes the same, so what's the big deal? Well I'm smoking an alec Bradley prensado, and one side just refuses to keep pace with the other, and along with a slight bit of...
  10. Cigar Questions
Noob question number (?#?) for your Sunday. I submit: I read reviews of cigars and oft see the burn as an indicator of quality. I can see how canoeing or the like might be related to construction, but lacking an overly tight draw (and presumably less air circulation), isn't a cigar needing...

Just had my first box press cigar last night (Torano Exodus 1959 Gold Robusto). The cigar was unbelievable but the burn was attrocious. The top and bottom would burn valleys and the squared off edges wouldn't burn at all. Is this normal for a box press cigar? Any suggestions on how to...

Today is my 5 year wedding anniversary. :woohoo: Thank you, thank you. Today, I procured three shooter size bottles of Jim Beam, had some ribs left over from my birthday dinner, and remembered what I had been waiting for...:hungry: Some months back, as far as December or January, I received...

You're enjoying your cigar on a perfect evening in your backyard oasis. Mojito in one hand, Ilusione in the other, you successfully create a smoke ring in the still air. A koi splashes appreciative applause in the nearby pond. Well, OK, maybe that's just me. Then the cigar begins canoeing...

New discovery today. Nice Izod Shirt. I look down and after a morning pipe and an afternoon cigar, I notice 3 small holes in my shirt. Oh well. I just hope that I can be more careful now.
  15. Cigar Questions
What causes a cigar to burn unevenly. The past three T52's belicoso's I have smoked all burned extremely uneven, even after re-lights. Is it the was the cigar is rolled? The cut of the cigar or the way you draw on it? I have never encountered this issue before this bad with T52s.

Well, I'm digging around my coolador and pull out something without a band on it. Hmmm...ok, I'll give it a try. I light it up and I'm thinking, this isn't too bad. But I have to work on it to keep it burning. So I notice a small hole forming about an inch and a half below the burn line. Geeze...
  17. Cigar Questions
Ok so I've been smoking for about a year now. The caveat to this is it has all been here in Iraq and I've not really had a seasoned vet to help me out when I've had questions. Now that I've found a community to support my hobby, I have a "burning" question. Haha... sorry had to throw in the pun...

  19. Cigar Questions
I have smoked a few (two) box pressed cigars this week and it seems that they burn slower to me but maybe its just the cigar's condition. Both had a good draw and both were 5 inches long and lasted over an hour, I like a churchill most of the time and they might last an hour but didnt think a 5...
  20. Cigar Questions
As a novice smoker, I am still trying to figure out exactly how to smoke a cigar to make it the best experience possible. I do a pretty good job lighting and take a puff every 60 seconds or so. What I am wondering is how much should the wrapper be lighting when I am drawing. I know that the...
