I have numerous cigars that appear to be tunneling. Usually a box or most of a box full of cigars. A small hole in the center that goes through nearly the entire cigar making it bitter as hell. no amount of squeezing or rolling the cigar helps. It does appear to only affect round and not box...

Hi, Here is 80F in summer and I don't have any solution for temp. I am using 69 rh boveda in humidor and humidity is 65-66 rh. I have only Cuban cigars. Problem is cigars are spongy and have bitter taste. I made some research on internet and some web sites says that don't care actual...

Hello, I recently bought and seasoned a new (albeit cheap) 25-50 count humidor. After seasoning I put about 10 different sticks inside with (at first) one Xikar jar of humidity beads. The external built in hygrometer is and presumably always will be completely ineffective so I have a small...

I'm wondering if anybody's experienced this. I bought a box of Upmann Corona Majors (Coronas Major??), box code AST JUN 09 around this time last year. When I got them they were smoking superbly. I had one back in January and another today and they were both very harsh and quite bitter at the...

I'm really loving these G n H Twist Ropes, but when ever I smoke them in my MM McArthur Bent Cob, they get bitter towards the botom of the bowl. None of my other tobaccos do this in this pipe. Do these just not like this pipe? Any ideas on what I can try to stop this from happening. I've tried...

After a few minutes into smoking, my mouth starts tasting really bitter. Its like my whole pallet is coated in bitterness and even after trying a few sips of soda to overcome the taste, its still very noticeable. I've even tried "purging", with no dice. What am I doing wrong ?

Now that I have your attention! LOL. JUSK KIDDING! On a serious note, no drama this weekend (despite some prediction on this forum). I had one of my Montecristo 4 that has been resting for few months since I purchased them. It was a chocolaty goodness. So there. Martin had a pleasant...

In PM discussion between Matt and Myself about my first Nub CT being extremely bitter, I traded one to him. His was also bitter. We are curious if anyone has had this experience with the CT in particular? And, would resting additional time in the humidor help? Originally Posted by TN22...

Wow, $40 down the drain. Beautiful dark brown wrapper, perfect burn but absolutely tighter than tight and no draw. Barely a whiff of smoke from the first third. Left it after that and smoked a Cohiba Robusto. Infinitely better for about half the cost.
