I'm ready to hallucinate

So, I sent a PM to @OneStrangeOne at the end of the week asking him if he had any of the Tambolaka pipe tobacco left over. I've read the reviews and seen the comments and it got my interest. He offered to send some my way along with some other goodies (see cigar thread too). Man, I am so grateful for this tobacco sir. As soon as I get rid of this crud I got I am firing up half a bowl of that Tambolaka tobacco. Hopefully I don't start drooling all over myself Not sure I can hit you back with some pipe tobacco but you better make some room cigar wise Thanks again Nathan.

I'm ready to hear how this turns out. I tried to find some to buy myself but no luck. At least it's spawned a few good stories on here.
Nice hit Nathan!!

In all the years I have been smoking pipes I never heard of this one, but if it's stronger than 1792 I need to get some!

Absolutely convinced that Tambolaka is inconsistent. The reviews and discussions are so polarizing. I’m not referring to the monster strength, but there are many people, like me, who say they can’t really identify what they are tasting. It’s not offensive, but it just is what it is and I could be fine not tasting it again.

Then you read another half dozen reviews where people say it’s the best thing they’ve tasted in a long time and they want more.

Hope you have a positive experience. I’ve actually sent an email to a supplier in Indonesia seeing if I can get a pouch of ready rubbed Tambo to try it again from a different batch.

Is also suggest you smoke in a cob if you have one. Definitely, don’t smoke it in a prized Virgina or Aromatic pipe. I’m not sure if it ghosts or affects the tastes of following smokes, so start conservative.
