Facial Hair = Greater Piping Enjoyment!

Yeah, I know, wierd sounding thread.

I grew a beard for the winter. I think I am enjoying my pipe tobaccos more with beard than I would without it. Hours later I can still smell much of the "room note" or "tin note". The enjoyment stays with me and lingers through the day or evening, taking me back to that special place.

You?

Life's too short to smoke bad cigars.

I haven't had a completely shaven face since high school. And that was way back in the 1900s.

I'd just like to say that facial hair makes a better EVERYTHING! But yes, I enjoy the "mustache note" as well from the pipe tobacco.

Oh yes, the mustache note is key! It brings me joy all day long.
I know it is a good tobacco if my wife doesn't complain when she kisses me!

Hmmm, not sure I qualify to put in my opinion, working on 3 weeks growth and still look like a 16 year old trying to look old enough to buy booze!

THe irony is I didn't start getting carded until I started growing my beard lol. FWIW, give it 3 months before deciding what it will look like. Some spots may seem thin at first but fill in really well. For instance I have a thin/bald portion on my chin which you'd be hard pressed to locate.

Alas, I still have a few years before I can put the razor away permanently. Uncle Sam doesn't like facial hair and makes me keep my mustache trimmed very short. Sigh.
