Apparently they are sold everywhere as of today. I checked few random sites, and sure enough they are listed as OOS. Craziness.

Yeah, but those may have been sold out before the announcement. That's just a popular cigar in general.

That said, definitely mad at myself for not picking up a box when I had the chance to earlier in the year.

It's sort of interesting that right in the announcement video on CA's site, they admit there is no other cigar shaped like the Eye of the Shark (other than the anejo of course but there's no mistaking the two due to the wrapper), so they pretty much knew what it was even smoking it with no band. To me, that means that 3 out of the last 4 years the reviewers would have identified the cigars while they were smoking them as the Andalusian Bull and Serie V Melanio Figurado would be unique shapes those years too. I don't know if this means anything, just something I found interesting.

Thought the same thing too... if you're knowledgeable enough to have your opinion seriously looked at for that kind of review, and you have an idea what the lineup would be, you'd recognize the stick.

It looks like all the advert money and being labeled #1 has paid off. 2 ridiculous ebay auctions going on for Eye of the Shark. Lets see just how high these bids will go.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ARTURO-FUEN...E/112721251227 (Currently at $730)

Yeah, thats another reason I would never bid on anything like this. As per eBay rules, no sales of tobacco, so sellers came up with different descriptions. Thing is, yes you should get full box of these, but if you dont, and you do get just a box and bands, you are SOL as eBay wont do anything about it. That is what description says, so that is what you got.

Though you could come back with "box wasn't unopened/sealed, but I'm right there with you
