Whenever I go on a cruise I only bring two with me. Here's my logic, one for the first night, the second for the day at sea. Then the rest of the time buying and smoking sticks I've never tried at the ports of call along the way. It's part of the fun of vacation for me anyways plus it gives me a reason to splurge.

I always buy new sticks, hopefully something local, on a vacation, however, I always bring a full travel humi just in case the selection is sub par...aka Hawaii, Philippines etc. I never want to be caught short having to purchase something I would never otherwise smoke. The seconds are too short.

Oh and I love picking up a box of something at Duty Free.

I have found that cigars help me enjoy that time between the seconds.

1. Haiti, Jamaica, and Cozumel
2. Yes, several
3. What kinda question is that? Hell yea! I've got the "any and all you want" drink package.
Next question, lol

Thereís a nice LCdH in Cozumel, itís just across the street from where the ferry from Playa docks. Itís on the upper floor in the corner.

Nice walk in humidor. Jimmy Sotolongo rolls custom Cubans there. Great food and drinks as well.

Enjoy your vacation!

Okay, so hereís what Iím thinking: Iím guessing your cruise is 5-7 days. If you plan for 3-4 cigars/day, youíre looking at 21-28 cigars to hold you over for your trip. You want to come back with more than you went with, so you could smoke the one you bring, and replace them with ones you buy.

As far as what to take: I agree with taking every day smokes and a few special ones. The wind on the ship will probably cause your cherry to go out a few times (who thought you could lose it more than once ), so you wouldnít want a better than average cigar to taste like ash because you have to keep relighting it. Also, I donít think youíll buy many many singles, especially if theyíre authenticos (totally made that word up). I think youíll be best off taking a few tuppedors ready to transport boxes instead of singles

My COCD means everything I buy goes into mandatory lockdown. But the idea of trying new smokes from each port does make things way more fun. Plus, if your ship has a cigar lounge, maybe you take some roulette winnings one night, put on a nice pair of pants, and splurge on a cigar lounge stick.

Vacation smokes do not need to be locked down as they will not be integrated with the home stash. If and when they are, I would quarantine them.

I have found that cigars help me enjoy that time between the seconds.

That is so much true. Hey @Rondo, will you allow me to use this in another forum I frequent as my signature?
