They wouldn't let me wear my ole leather hat....I had to bring 2 outfits so they could "doll me up"....I was in make-up over an hour just to make me look presentable.

My kids force me to wear a mask just so I can play with my grankids.

Very cool adventure! Even better to hear about a product that actually works.
I get TENS units for my patients all the time - or at least I did before you could find them for 1/10th the price at the corner pharmacy - but this sounds like a better solution.

Glad to hear you found something that helps with the pain. I had two neck surgeries myself and do everything I can to cope with the pain without taking any meds. It ain't easy! LOL

Everyone should believe in something.... I believe I'll have another cigar.

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

Iíve used TENS units for about 12 years. Too bad I canít find good pads any longer because of the fact that they have put them in every store.

Mine is more of a TENS unit that was designed by Spanish Inquisitors. I have my wife and daughter try to use them. My wife can get up to 4.5 but my daughter wonít go above 2.5. When I have to use it I start around 15, and then settle in around 18.5. So when my daughter complains of pain I have to do some division but remember that it still is really painful for her.

Iím glad you found something to reduce the meds. All that polypharmacy takes its toll on the liver, kidneys, heart valves and even your brain chemistry.

My dad had pretty bad arthritis. I had to do a rheumatology preceptorship at Temple. I saw some pretty horrid stuff to some incredible people that just fight so that the next generation do not have to suffer as much.

Anyway, what finally got my dad was the heart valves. Nobody knew for 30+ years that basic NSAIDs were more of a threat to your heart valves than your liver, kidneys or Gut.

He had an AMI as they were transferring him to step down post surgery. He stuck around for 2.5 years but only because he fought like hell to make sure mom and the sibs I could be okay.

The heart surgeon refused to do a recommended CABG on his LAD even though he did 2 others. He had said he saw the catch films and was t convinced the LAD needed the graft. He infarcted exactly where the graphs should have rerouted the blood flow. However dad refuse to litigate. He just didnít believe in it. I begged him to as I had worked at the specific hospital and they always cut corners and were horribly under staffed. But Cíest La Vie.

Reducing meds in your system can significantly increase your quality of life.
